Fierberg, Christina Weiss Lurie and I aim to
realize the most unusual, exciting, and daring films
possible. We want to do what others shy away from,
films that all too often are viewed by the mainstream as
too avant-garde. Innovation and the willingness to take
risks is what Vox3 is about. When I was trying to get
"Secretary" made, Andy took a chance on me and my S & M
romance; when we made "Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane
Arbus" the complete reimagining of the biopic form was our
(modest!) goal. Now it's my turn to do the same for
others."
