ANDREW FIERBERG (Producer)

Andrew, a leading New York-based producer, has produced numerous provocative independent films under his own label, Studio Fierberg and double A films.

Currently, Andrew is in post-production on Sally Potter’s RAGE, starring Judy Dench, Dianne Wiest, Steve Buscemi and Eddie Izzard. Most recently, Andrew produced three films: a South Korean co-production written and to be directed by Gina Kim called NEVER FOREVER, starring Vera Farmiga, David McInnis and Jung Woo Ha; Zoe Cassavettes’ directorial debut BROKEN ENGLISH, starring Parker Posey, Gena Rowlands and Drea De Matteo; and FEEL by Matt Mahurin (I LIKE KILLING FLIES), a film about four men from different walks of life who end up at an Asian massage parlor at the same time, starring Billy Baldwin. NEVER FOREVER and BROKEN ENGLISH premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival Competition. FEEL premiered at the 2007 Philadelphia Film Festival.

Andrew also recently produced Steven Shainberg's FUR: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr., Sally Potter's YES, starring Joan Allen and Sam Neill, and Lodge Kerrigan's KEANE.

Andrew has produced a plethora of noteworthy independent films over the last ten years, including Steven Shainberg's SECRETARY, which won a Special Jury Prize at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, Jill Sprecher's 13 CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ONE THING, starring Matthew McConaughey and Alan Arkin, Isaac Julien's BALTIMORE, a movingimage art installation, which premiered at the FACT Gallery in Liverpool and won the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the Kunstfilm Biennale in Cologne. He also produced Michael Almereyda's HAMLET, starring Ethan Hawke, Sam Shepard, and Bill Murray, Jonathan Nossiter's SUNDAY, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, STRINGER starring Burt Reynolds, CORPS PLONGES directed by Raoul Peck, and NADJA produced with David Lynch. Andrew was also supervising producer of a series of six short films that accompanied THE CONCERT FOR NEW YORK CITY, which helped to raise more than $30 million for 9/11-related charities, collaborating with directors Woody Allen, Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese, Ed Burns, Kevin Smith and Jerry Seinfeld.

Andrew is an Associate at Harvard University's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts. He sits on the Finance Committee of the Film Forum and is Secretary of the organization's Board of Directors.


CHRISTINA WEISS LURIE (Producer)

Christina Lurie, who with her husband, owns the Philadelphia Eagles football team, is an independent film and television producer involved in a diverse range of projects. In August 2004, Christina founded Vox3 Films with Steven Shainberg and Andrew Fierberg.

Most recently, Christina produced Zoe Cassavetes' BROKEN ENGLISH, starring Parker Posey and Gina Kim's NEVER FOREVER, starring Vera Farmiga, both of which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.  Additional producing credits include Michael Hoffman's GAME 6, starring Michael Keaton and Robert Downey Jr.; Matt Mahurin's FEEL, starring Billy Baldwin and Kevin Corrigan; Paul Black's America Brown starring Ryan Kwanten and Michael Rappaport.  Christina is currently in post-production on Sally Potter's RAGE, with  an ensemble cast including Judi Dench, Jude Law, Eddie Izzard, Dianne Wiest, Steve Buscemi, and John Leguizamo; and Max Mayer's ADAM, starring Hugh Dancy and Peter Gallagher

Prior to Vox3, Christina was associate producer in the Chestnut Hill Productions/Larry Kasdan film I LOVE YOU TO DEATH and director of development for producer Ron Moler. Christina served as the associate producer on several political documentaries and was assistant to director Lindsay Anderson on BRITTANIA HOSPITAL. 

Christina serves on the boards of The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, the ICA in Philadelphia, Starlight, Starbright in Los Angeles and the Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation. She is President of Eagles Youth Partnership, the charitable wing of the Philadelphia Eagles committed to improving the health and education of youth in the Greater Philadelphia region primarily in the areas of literacy, vision and after-school programs.


STEVEN SHAINBERG (Producer)

Steven Shainberg garnered critical acclaim in 2002 for his film SECRETARY. The film won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival that year and was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards including Best Feature. Secretary introduced Maggie Gyllenhaal in her first feature role. HIT ME, Steven's first feature, was released in August, l998 by Castle Hill. Based upon a novel by Jim Thompson, HIT ME stars Elias Koteas (THE THIN RED LINE), William H. Macy (FARGO) and Laure Marsac, a Cesar Award winning actress in France. HIT ME screened at numerous festivals throughout the world including, the Toronto International Film Festival, the Athens International Film Festival, and the Stockholm International Film Festival.

Steven’s film FUR: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, which stars Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr., is slated to be released in November. It has just debuted to great reception at the Telluride Film Festival and will also be unveiled at Rome. This film re-teams Steven with his SECRETARY collaborators, screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson and producer Andrew Fierberg.

In addition to his feature work, Steven is a principal director at one of advertisings fastest growing production companies, LUNCH. Over the last several years he has directed over twenty television commercials, including spots for Time Warner, Chanel Perfume, and Miller Beer. Steven also has been a guest lecturer at the USC School of Film and Television, Columbia School of Cinema, and the American Film Institute.


JENNY SCHWEITZER (HEAD OF PRODUCTION)

Jenny is credited as the line producer on numerous feature films including BEAUTIFUL OHIO (starring William Hurt), Keane (starring Damian Lewis and Abigail Breslin), THE BALLAD OF JACK ROSE (starring Daniel Day Lewis and Catherine Keener), and PERSONAL VELOCITY (starring Parker Posey and Kyra Sedwick).  She was recently nominated for a 2007 Independent Spirit Award for TWELVE AND HOLDING, which she produced.  She is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

EMILY GARDINER (DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT)

Emily was until 2006 director of special projects and post-production at InDigEnt, where she was credited in various roles on many films including Maria Maggenti's PUCCINI FOR BEGINNERS, Jeff Stanzler's SORRY, HATERS, Steve Buscemi's LONESOME JIM, Wim Wenders' LAND OF PLENTY, and Peter Hedges' PIECES OF APRIL. She acted as associate producer on Jehane Noujaim's documentary CONTROL ROOM and a short film by Mira Nair for the international series 11 MINUTES, 9 SECONDS and 1 FRAME. Emily's first film credit was on Nair's MONSOON WEDDING on which she served as production coordinator and post-production supervisor. Prior to MONSOON WEDDING, Emily was an associate at a film finance company, sourcing and executing production loans for independent features. She also completed the two-year financial analyst program in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Emily received her B.A. magna cum laude in 1996 from Harvard College.

ANGELA C. LEE (DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE AFFAIRS)

Angela has worked in multiple roles on several feature film productions including Stephen Daldry's THE ADVENTURES OF KAVALIER AND CLAY, H.S. Miller's ANAMORPH, Todd Phillips' SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS, Steven Shainberg's FUR: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, and Lodge Kerrigan's KEANE. Angela has also produced sell-out benefit concerts at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center's New York State Theatre for Second Generation's annual CONCERT OF EXCELLENCE. Prior to her career in entertainment, Angela was an Associate at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Angela received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
